- Small foam beads, softer bean bag?
It's not always true. Soft bean bag also depends on cover material, lining, cutting, and foam beads. We can make a punching bag for boxing from tiny foam beads because it's small and heavy similar to sand.
- Leather or fabric?
Leather is more durable, easy to clean, but less breathable. Fabric is the opposite of leather. It's less durable, more difficult to clean and easy to get dirty but it has good breathability. Leather is not better but it's more depending on usage.
- PU leather is the best synthetic leather?
Firstly, many people mistaken PVC leather as PU leather. Both PVC and PU leather can be hard and soft. Thus, softness is not an indication of PU leather. More than 90% of faux leather used in the furniture industry is PVC leather. Since we sell all kinds of leather, no particular leather is considered the best. Each has different pros and cons.
- Adhesive (glue) and additive chemicals
There are two main types of glue, solvent-based and water-based. In general, the solvent-based glue bonding strength is higher than the other. While water-based is weaker but it has no strong solvent smell and is much less toxic.
Bonding materials, firstly, need to select the right glue with the right material. Secondly, ones need to use it correctly.
Moreover, there are two types of chemicals to enhance the bonding strength, primer and additive. Primer, bonding enhancer or bonding aid, all of which refer to the same thing. Primer is the chemical for applying on the material and making it easier for the glue to dissolve the material surface and stick together. The other chemical is an additive for adding to the glue to make it dissolve or, on the opposite, harden. Which additive to use mainly depends on the materials, works, and user techniques.
